This is a not so good news for all loyal Windows XP user or somebody who hate to use Windows Vista. If you think getting away from Vista is your reason for keep coming back to XP, well think again. As of june 30, Microsoft has pulled the plug on the retail life of the windows XP OS, but like a zombie that just refuses to go on, XP will still be continue walking in the face of the earth and will be offered to OEM manufacturers through January 31, 2009.

According to Dell, Microsoft is mandating that XP downgrades occur only on enterprise, bussiness and gaming machines for the privilege, Dell will tack on an additional $20 fee to the price of the system. Microsoft denies the allegations, insisting that anyone with Windows Vista Bussiness or Ultimate is eligible for the the downgrade. Microsoft also maintains that it is not forcing retailers to limit consumer’s options for downgrading based on system builds.
